The 24-hour fundraising event at the River & Rowing Museum is the brainchild of The Bubbleheads, one of the crews set out to cross the Atlantic in The 2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.

Here is a reminder that, on 25 January, Henley River & Rowing Museum is holding a fundraising event for the crews competing in the 2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Race.

Fourteen teams, who are taking part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Campaign 2020, will be heading to the River & Rowing Museum in Henley to complete in a 24-hour rowing challenge to raise money for each of their chosen charities on Saturday, 25 January.

Here are the teams and their chosen charities:

The Bubbleheads (Wessex Cancer Trust and St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital)

Bristol Gulls (RNLI & Clean Up Bristol Harbour)

On Shoulders of Giants (My Name’s Doddie Foundation & Pursuing Independent Paths)

Commando Spirit (Rock2Recovery)

Trans Atlantic Trio/Wave Warrior (Blood Bikes)

Minds Matter (Solent Mind & The Firefighter’s Charity)

Tideway Odyssey (Youth Sport Trust & London Youth Rowing)

One Ocean (TBC)

Atlantic Dragon (MS Society)

Alone Against the Atlantic/Do It Wright (RNLI & Mind)

Rudderly Mad/Spoarting Chance (Shelter Box)

Atlantic Titan (Collateral Repair Project)

Spectators and supporters are encouraged to backing the teams throughout the arduous challenge. All money raised during the 24-hour challenge will be divided between the 14 teams and donated to their charities.

The event is the brainchild of a team of four deep sea saturation divers, The Bubbleheads, who are one of the teams in the 2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Race.
